WHO: Coronavirus Vaccine Maybe Never Found

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

There are 165 different vaccine studies conducted worldwide against the coronavirus epidemic. However, according to the WHO's latest statements, these vaccine studies may never reach the final result. In other words, there is a chance that the studies against Covid-19 will be fruitless.

The target is to develop a vaccine in the fight against Covi-19, the biggest epidemic of the century. However, this process is not so simple. Vaccine studies, which have been up to 10 years, even in regular times, are now being carried out for months due to the global epidemic crisis. There are currently 165 different vaccine studies on earth against a single disease. The closest estimates of the everyday use of the vaccine point to the middle of 2021.

The World Health Organization, which has one of the most significant responsibilities against the epidemic, made a realistic but hopeless statement. However, there are still successful studies, notably Oxford, WHO President. Tedros A. Ghebreyesus; brought up the possibility of not having the vaccine.

WHO: "A magic key has not yet been found; perhaps it will never be found."

Starting his explanations by stating that more than one study is in the third and final stage, WHO President recalled the possibility of not reaching a positive result in any of these studies: "Multiple vaccine studies are currently in the third stage in clinical tests. We all hope to have more than one vaccine to prevent infections. However, magic a key has not yet been found; perhaps it will never be found. "
